The series consisted of five games, each of which followed directly upon the events of the last. New games frequently referred to previous entries in the series, often in the form of cameos by recurring characters. The objective of the series is to transform the player character from an average adventurer to a hero[11] by completing non-linear quests.
Each character class features special abilities unique to that class, as well as a shared set of attributes which can be developed by performing tasks and completing quests. In general, for a particular game the maximum value which can be reached for an ability is 100*[the number of that game]. Quest for Glory V allows stat bonuses which can push an attribute over the maximum and lets certain classes raise certain attributes beyond the normal limits. Quest for Glory V also features special kinds of equipment which lower some stats while raising others. At the beginning of each game, the player may assign points to certain attributes, and certain classes only have specific attributes enabled, although skills can be added for an extra cost.

The Fighter class inevitably has to complete some quests by resorting to combat, but Thieves and Magic Users can use their specialized skills to complete their tasks peacefully. (Though they can alternatively resort to aggression as well, if so desired.)
Of course there's far more to the game than character classes, stat-building and combat, which adventure fans will be glad to hear by now. As you explore the town of Spielburg, you'll come across the Adventurer's Guild that, as it turns out, is far from a place bustling with adventurous activity. Instead, it appears more like a retirement home for the one elderly Adventurer that has survived in recent years. While the sleepy Guildmaster will eagerly share some interesting tales of past glory days, your main interest here is the Quests board. It holds a handful of advertisements offering jobs and requests for able Adventurers. This bulletin board will give newcomers to the game a nod in the right direction, but naturally there are more quests available than the five presented here.
Most quests can be solved in a non-linear fashion and not all of them need to be completed in order to win. Dead-end situations are possible, but only when you make obvious mistakes like selling key items or killing creatures you shouldn't, which are easy to avoid. Quests include activities that can be divided into three categories: item fetching, traditional puzzles and skill-based puzzles.
As you venture through the game, day will pass and eventually night will fall. There is no time limit, however, so you can play through the game at your own leisure. Time moves in a pseudo-real time, though you are never told precisely what time it is. Instead, the game describes the passing of the day like "The night is still young on day 2" or "It is midday on day 6". The first few nights you may want to find a place to sleep. Not only is the night more dangerous, your Hero will also become exhausted after a long day of adventuring and will require food and sleep on a regular basis. Ultimately, however, your quests will demand that you head out at night, since some events will only happen after darkness has fallen.
As you begin talking to people, you'll find there is no central moment in which the plot is advanced by a particular character. Various people in Spielburg valley know about the fateful occurrences in recent years, and each may be able to tell you a different portion from their own perspective. If you're curious to learn all the ins and outs, you should question the various individuals you meet, but no knowledge about the valley's history is necessary to finish the game, and it is never forced upon you.

Scottish sides face a tough task in trying to make their mark in European competitions, so why not make that quest 10 times harder by managing a side who are a few promotions away from even being able to qualify for the Champions League?
True happiness is only possible when we lift our eyes off ourselves and pursue the glory of God. The resounding testimony of Scripture is that God is glorious and infinitely worthy of our steadfast devotion. As the psalmist Asaph wrote,
The highest purpose any individual can have is to be totally absorbed in the person of God, and to view all of life through eyes filled with His wonder and glory. That is the perspective of the true worshiper, the one who truly glorifies God. [3] MacArthur, The MacArthur New Testament Commentary: 1 Corinthians, 244.
